Three year basic jewellery course for young students
Extraordinary opportunity for young aspirant jewellers! The course, which is utterly financed by the Veneto Region, is free. Students will be also provided with books and stationery for free over the whole length of the course.It’s a course designed for those 14 year old students who just finished the secondary school and are especially talented at manual and creative subjects. In fact, it’s mainly focused on practical activities, in order to make them gain all the basic competencies in the fundamental processes of the jewellery manufacturing.The qualification awarded after a final exam, taking place at the end of the whole course, is for Operator in the jewellery processes. 

    FRAME OF THE COURSE: FIRST YEAR

 

Duration: 1000 hours

  		 550 hours: basic cultural learning
 50 hours: vocational guidance and training for jewellery 
                       FRAME OF THE COURSE: SECOND YEAR
            

Duration:

1100 hours

    		450 hours: basic cultural learning 
 650 hours: vocational training for jewellery Professional subjects
 Internship
                          FRAME OF THE COURSE: THIRD YEAR 
   

Duration:

1100 hours

  		350 hours: completion of the basic cultural learning  
 750 hours:  vocational training for jewellery Professional subjects

                          TIMETABLE

  31 HOURSPER WEEK

 3 days per week: 5 hour class from 08.00 am to 1.00 pm 

2 days per week: 8 hours class from 08.00 am to 1.00 pm  and  from 2 pm to 5 pm

 TOTAL ATTENDANCE = 32 WEEKS = 8 MONTHS 

Other than the professional competencies, they will acquire a good basic cultural background. As a matter of fact, the timetable schedules both theoretical subjects (such as maths, physics, chemistry, literature and language, history, geography) and workshops.Through this course, the students will develop their sense of creativity and learn how to turn a concept into a jewel, acquiring all the necessary competencies in the different fields related to the process, such as: Design and Creativity Techniques, Metal Technology, Jewellery Manufacturing, Gemmology, Engraving and Stone Setting, Enamel Techniques.  

 REQUISITES TO BE ADMITTED: to be a 14 y.o. student who regularly finished the secondary school; to possess at least a basic command of the Italian language; to be interested in creative and manual subjects The course is open both to Italian and foreign students
