The School of Art and Crafts of Vicenza made a splash at the Madrid Fair “Aula” |

The presence of the School of Art and Crafts of Vicenza excited great interest at the Exhibition “Aula”, which took place in Madrid from 24th to 29th March 2009. This event, which has become one of the most important happenings at an international level over the last few years in the university education and vocational training field, chose Italy as the “invited country”. That’s why the Italian mission enjoyed a special room inside the pavilion. In the stand especially put on by the Veneto Region and the Verona Fair, several schools and institutions representing restoration, touristic management and fashion were shown. The demonstrations of enamelling techniques carried out by Mr. Luigi Barato, who teaches at the School, stirred up great enthusiasm on the audience. The participation in the fair offered the opportunity to present our course of Restoration of Metal Sacred Art, who seemed to be of great interest for the Spanish students, and to show the enamelling techniques which is taught in the same course and in many others at the School.The presence at the fair “Aula” represented a very important opportunity for the School to make young European talents in the art field know its vocational training offer.
